Get Ready for Arts in April
March 31, 2021
The Winter Garden community places a very high importance on the Arts and the role it plays in bringing our community together.
“The arts matter because they help us see the world from different perspectives. They give us empathy and help us understand people, places, periods of history, and issues with which we may otherwise be unfamiliar. They comfort us in grief and energize us in celebration. They are important because they can act as a catalyst for change…they can start a revolution! The arts ignite something in our brains that I can’t explain, but I know it’s essential for life.”
– Jennie Terman
The month of April will be dedicated to showcasing and supporting the local arts. All month long you will find art showcased around town, activities for kids, and a variety of ways to support the local arts. All this is leading up to the official community celebration happening on April 17th. There will be a chalk art contest, en plein air paint out, kids art at the Winter Garden Farmers Market, scavenger hunt, four main exhibits, and an Exclusive Art Night VIP fundraiser in the evening. Over 20 downtown businesses will be showcasing local art for purchase. To purchase tickets, click here.
